Ariana Grande recently revealed that she doesn’t see herself returning to music anytime soon. At 31, the pop superstar, who made her big-screen debut this year playing Glinda in the successful Wicked adaptation, shared that she is now focused on exploring different forms of art. After rumors of a massive 2025 tour were denied by her label, Ariana clarified that she’s currently embracing her acting career and plans to continue in this direction for the coming years. |
She told Variety: "I’m incredibly grateful for acting, and I think my fans know that music and the stage will always be part of my life, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. I think in the next few years, I hope we will explore different forms of art, and right now, acting feels like home to me."
Ariana joked, "I’ll perform at my mom’s house." Meanwhile, her label, Republic Records, confirmed that there are no tour plans for next year, while expressing gratitude for the ongoing love and support from her fans.
Her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in March and continues to captivate her audience. Additionally, the title of the second Wicked film, Wicked: For Good, was officially revealed recently. Ariana, who stars alongside Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba), shared the story behind the name: "We had it printed on our original scripts, and it stuck with us. I’m glad it’s official now because it truly represents how this project has changed our lives for good."
Wicked: For Good is set to release on November 21, 2025.
